Woof, woof! Hey there, pawsome friends and fur-tastic hoomans! My name is Duke, and I'm a F1B mini Goldendoodle currently living in San Francisco, California. I have a heart full of adventure and a tail that never stops wagging. I'm thrilled to welcome you to my blog, a place where I'll be documenting my tail-wagging adventures with my hoomans, travel tips, and favorite destinations. Whether you're a fellow furry traveler or a hooman looking for some paw-some travel advice, you're in the right place!
Why I Created This Blog
You might be wondering, "Duke, why did you start a travel blog?" Well, let me tell you a little secret. As much as I love belly rubs and barking at rando strangers, there's nothing quite like hitting the open road with my favorite humans. Traveling with my two-legged companions has opened up a world of exciting scents, new furiends (both furry and hooman), and unforgettable experiences. I wanted to create this blog to document my journey and to help other dogs and their hoomans have the best adventures possible. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or a cross-country road trip, I've got plenty of tips and stories to share!
What to Expect
So, what can you expect from my blog? Here’s a sneak peek:
Adventure Stories (definitely!): Join me on my adventures as I share stories from the road. Expect lots of fun, a few mishaps, and plenty of wagging tails.
Travel Tips for Dogs and Hoomans (definitely!): From packing essentials to finding the best dog-friendly spots, I'll cover everything you need to know to make your travels smooth and fun.
Destination Guides (maybe!): Discover pup-friendly destinations that are pawfect for exploring with your two-legged companions. Whether it's a beach, a mountain trail, or a cozy cabin in the woods, I've got you covered.
Product Reviews (we'll see!): I'll test out the latest dog travel gear and accessories, so you know what's worth packing for your next trip.
A Little About Me
Now, let's get to the fun part—more about me! As I mentioned, I'm a mini Goldendoodle, which means I’m the perfect blend of intelligence, cuteness, and energy. Here are a few things that make me, well, me:
Hypo-Allergenic: Since I'm 75% poodle and 25% golden retriever, I don't shed! Something my pawrents love about me!
Social Butterfly (But Not Too Much): I love meeting new furiends, but only for a minute or two MAX. Then, I'm totally over it. Also, I'm not a big fan of crowded places with too many dogs or hoomans. I prefer one-on-one playdates or small groups where I can really get to know my new pals.
Breedist: To be honest, I gravitate towards other puppers that look like me in shape and size — that being any other doodle mixes or medium sized puppers or smaller. Standard sized doggos scare me!—
Bark, Bark, Bark!: Yep, that's me. I bark a lot. It's my way of saying hello, expressing excitement, or just letting the world know I'm here! No matter what my hoomans do to try and prevent me from barking, I still do it!
Excitement Pee-er: Okay, I admit it. Sometimes I get so excited when I meet someone new that I can't help but pee a little. It’s just my way of showing how happy I am!
Treatos Lover: I absolutely adore treatos, especially anything cronchy. There’s something about that satisfying cronch that makes my tail wag like crazy.
Not Food Motivated: While I do love my treatos, I’m not super food motivated. I’d rather go on a nice long walk than spend too much time thinking about food.
Not Athletic: Though I love running and sometimes swimming, especially with my hoomans, anything that has to do with a ball or frisbee is *yawn*.
My Favorite Things
Cronchy Treatos: As I mentioned, anything cronchy is a win in my book. Those yummy sounds make my day!
Nappy doos: Man, do I love my cozy nappy doos. I require at least 10-14 hours of beauty sleep every day, or I get really grumpy.
Adventure Time: Whether it’s an outdoor hike or a stroll on the beach, I love exploring new places.
Cuddles and Belly Rubs: After a long day of adventuring, there’s nothing better than snuggling up with my hoomans for some belly rubs and cuddles.
Digging: It's like discovering hidden treasures right under my paws. There's nothing more exciting than shoving my face in some good ol' sand or dirt.
I can’t wait to share my adventures with you and help you plan your own dog-friendly travels. So, grab your leash, pack your bags, and let's hit the road together. Stay tuned for more paw-some posts and tail-wagging adventures. Until then, keep those tails wagging and those paws moving!
Happy roaming!
Duke
